Commercial Description:
Our pale ale is a perfect blend of whole leaf Chinook and Mount Hood hops and rich organic malts. A crisp, clean profile make this beer distinct.

On tap at Ruby’s in Asheville. This beer was quite crisp and just screamed freshness. Really enjoyable. Nice floral hops: citrus and floral flavors were predominate but not over the top; neither soapy nor overly piney/resiny. Enough malt to make me think of an English style pale ale, but definitely American. I really liked this beer.

off-white fizzy head (mostly lasting) into cloudy tea like body. good lacing present. aromas of light grapefruit, light caramel, tough of soapyness, and a peanuty aroma in aftertaste. flavor of light bitterness throughout. long finish duration. actually great for a pale ale as i normally hate them.

Pours a copper color with a white head. Aroma is caramel and some earthy, citrus hops. Flavor is malty, caramel, toasted malts, and a bitter hoppy finish.

Tap @ Barleys Taproom Asheville, NC. Pours a clear copper with a one finger off-white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of floral hops with a hint of pine and sweet malt. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness. Very good.

Draught (entered from old notes). Pours gold with white head. The aroma is a touch of sweet malt and planty hops. The flavor is honeyish and sugary malts with some hop bitterness and citrus. In the finish, though, is a slightly offputting botanical note. This has the potential to be tasty and refreshing... I’m guessing a rearrangement of the hop schedule might help it out. Still decent, though.

Growler sampled on 6/30/07: Pours a transparent bright orange bronze with a thin-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of slightly citrusy American hops and some grainy pale malt. Body starts a little thinner and grainy with some mild grapefruity hops toward a crisp bittersweet finish. A decent APA.

Draft at Carmel’s in Asheville. Hoped for more hop punch to it. Almost had a skunky taste to it like it was infected.

Holy shit! One of the best pale ales that I have ever had. Pours a nice yellow amber color with a nice white head. Aroma is fairly hoppy with some citrus to it. Flavor was rather bitter. I throughly enjoyed this brew.
