| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 2, 2009 Updated: Jun 14, 2009On tap at the brewery. Pours a light pinkish with a violet hue , hazy and a nice lasting white head. Aroma is fruity with raspberries- slight tart cherry- and fruit juice but is also spicy with Belgian yeast- and a bit peppery, slight solvent and some wheaty cream character. Flavor seems a bit weak and watered down for a 8% fruit beer- some flowery notes- violet, then some weak cherry and rasp fruit cocktail with some wheaty and doughy notes- more spice and phenols in the end. Just seemed a bit on the bland side. dkachur (2418), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
