Growler at Peter’s NY gathering - lightly hazy reddish brown - man, this tastes like raspberry cough syrup mixed with some wheaty character and light belgian-ish phenols - quite sweet, adding to the syrupy character that reminds me of cough medicine - blah.

Growler at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a clear ruby brown with a thin white head. Light fruit, though barely identifiable as raspberry. Medium bodied and sweet. Rather uneventful.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a light pinkish with a violet hue , hazy and a nice lasting white head. Aroma is fruity with raspberries- slight tart cherry- and fruit juice but is also spicy with Belgian yeast- and a bit peppery, slight solvent and some wheaty cream character. Flavor seems a bit weak and watered down for a 8% fruit beer- some flowery notes- violet, then some weak cherry and rasp fruit cocktail with some wheaty and doughy notes- more spice and phenols in the end. Just seemed a bit on the bland side.

Growler. Hazy light red pour with no head. Cherry nose with some hint of other fruits. The flavor brings out more cherry but the raspberry is noticeable.
