Bottle marked Jan. 2009+ thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a large, foamy white head over a hazed golden body. Aroma is musty, with alcohol, dry fruits, candi sugar and CO2. Taste is musty with sugar, coriander, alcohol, and a slight sourness. Lively bubbles.

750 ml bottle shared by fogdog at CPLYFO 09. Pours a Hazy deep golden almost copper- a bit dark for a tripel? with a thin but somewhat lasting head. Aroma initially has some DMS- green and vegetal with some cream of wheat, and cooked corn, slight citric lemongrass note with floral hops, spicy yeasty Belgian phenols and toasted malts,. More green and hops int he flavor, with some sharp phenols, some solvent a bit more dms, orange, lemon, doughy malts, sweet, with fruity esters, some banana- clove and prickly spicy pepper. Green and somewhat harsh finish. Not crazy about this.

Nice tripel. Pours golden cloudy color giving you what you would expect out of the beer. Sweetness, caramel, candied sugars and spices on the palate. Head that sticks around nicely as you drink the beer. The finish is smooth and sweet. Leaves a sweetness on the aftertaste as well.

Bottle. Pours hazy and sparkling orange with a rocky, white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (hay, straw), light hop (flowers), heavy yeast (earth, horse blanket) with notes of alcohol, pear, and honey. Full bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and an astringent finish. Short duration, moderate acidity and sweetness, light bitterness.

Not that heavy. Nice aroma. A nice citrus aroma with some lemon and spices. A bit like a saison to me. Very good and not hot at all for the alc. content.
