Bomber. Fruity, yeasty nose with dough and some sweetness. Hazy yellow color with a long lasting white head. Complex flavors of citrus, bread, yeast, and some funk. Nice sharp peppery finish and a nice bubbly mouthfeel. This is a world-class Belgian ale made right here in NC. Fantastic stuff.

Draught at Barley’s in Asheville, NC. Served in a 10.5 oz goblet. Slightly hazy, golden color with bubbly white head that laced the glass. Attractive fruity, estery aroma, mostly clove with a touch of apple. Flavor is similar with alcohol and a cereal grain note at the end. Excellent Belgian. Who needs to go to Belgium?

Bottle at the Nashville BA tasting. This pours a murky golden with a white head, it looks unfiltered. Nose of yeast and Belgian esters. Medium bodied with a great mouthfeel, earthy with perfect carbonation. Flavor of pale Belgian malts, pear, orange, spice, and even some honey. This has a moderate amount of residual sweetness. This is not what normally comes to mind when drinking a Tripel, but I am not a huge Tripel fan. This is sort of like a Wit on steroids. I like it.

Shared by meguiar at Paul’s Hoboken gathering. Hazy golden/blonde in color with a long lasting frothy white head. Aroma: some musty/phenolic belgian yeast, honey, and earthy. Taste is nice and easy drinking, very deceptive. Light honey sweetness, yeasty, light citrus, and spice. The phenols got just a touch rubbery with some very light bandaid near the finish, other than that this was great.

Pours from 750 ml bottle, cork had a bit of beer crusted on the edge, loud pop and a glass full of white foam ensued. It settles out and the first glass is a crisp straw yellow with a heavy bubble stream to the top. Subsequent pours show an increasing cloudyness as the sediment is increasingly disturbed. Aroma was of A sweet aroma of a fruity nature, citrus with pineapple and banana. Soft wheat undertones laced with bubble gum and candy sugar. Flavour that of super light, and full of flavour, this was an instant classic as soon as I took the first sip. Very nice light notes of yeast and wheat, some light fruit backed in as well. Nice hints of peach and a touch of wine like alcohol, but very light and more of a subtle nice surprise then anything else. The flavour was insanely good, and at times effortless. The finish was dry, almost like a champagne dryness to it with a long lasting flavor of grass or wet hay, and you just had to go back for another sip when it was done. Delightful beer, easy to drink and wonderful to enjoy! NC rejoice!

Poured a cloudy golden with a white head. Had hints of belgian candied sugar, belgian yeast, and typical citrus fruits. Finished medium bodied and smooth with some sweetness on the backend. Very good, could not get enough. Kinda like crack.

Sampled at Dickiinsonbeer’s Hoboken gathering - really hazy golden beer, with a seriously frothy head - aroma of herbs, wildflowers and honey - surprisingly soft in the mouth - honey sweetness balanced by dry herbal bitterness (yarrow and wildflower) - really nice balance - tastes more like a strong saison, which is a plus for me.

Not that heavy. Nice aroma. A nice citrus aroma with some lemon and spices. A bit like a saison to me. Very good and not hot at all for the alc. content.
