Commercial Description:
The much awaited release of Pisgah's Vortex series has begun. The first offering is a triple IPA weighing in @ 10.8% and 133 IBU. This beer is packed with Chinook and Nugget hops throughout the boil. The refined bitterness within is the trademark our use of whole hop flowers and the aroma is due to 1# of dry hops per barrel for a number of loving weeks. Treat youself with caution!

Sampled for Growler courtesy of Zrrbrrt. Poured a medium and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, oranges, wet grass, and lightly earthy. Tastes followed the same. Somewhat semi sugary sweet but overall had a nice balance. Alcohol content well hidden.

From Bruisn’ Ales.Pours very thick head that leaves very thick lace, on grapefruit body. Aroma is hoppy, not crazy hoppy. Chinook, Nugget, very well malted. 130 IBU rated but not getting that at all. Grapefruit, some tangerine, very tasty. Dangerously drinkable.Bomber gone, 20 minutes. Smooth creamy mouthfeel. Called triple pale, and that’s what it is.

Bottle. Pours an orange body with a white head. Strong astringent hop aroma with a paper citrus character and a herbal earthiness. Very soapy this is likely the victim of heat or light. Eh.

Thanks to zrrbrrt for sharing this growler. Pours a cloudy golden/orange amber with a foamy off white lacing head. Aroma was floral, lots of orange, some perfume, pine and candy fruits. Flavor of pine, some grapefrui, caramel, chewy hop flavor although not over the top.
