Very disappointing. The beer pours to a dark brown/black body with a thin tan head. The aroma is grainy oatmeal and chocolate. Very simple and seems to be organic. The flavor reminds me of organic malts and chocolate. Oatmeal. Very average medium bodied palate.

Sampled via 22-oz bomber during Cheesehead YeHA in Brookfield, Wisconsin and shared by 1FastSTi. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with a fast dissolving tan head that leaves behind a fine film and tan ring. Aroma of dark roasted malt, chocolate malt, a touch of molasses, caramel and dark pitted fruits. Taste is full bodied, light carbonation with flavors of dark roasted malt, hot chocolate mix, and a touch of vanilla. Finish has a thick texture, semi-sweet with aftertaste flavors of chocolate, vanilla and plenty of alcohol warmth.

Thanks to Blake for bringing this! Poured very deep brown with a short, yellowy-beige head. The aroma picked up sweeter chocolates and molasses upfront with a bit of drier floral accenting.. mostly chocolate in here with some rough booze jumping out.. medium roast. The flavor was very sweet with the chocolate, yet rather poorly balanced against stronger boozy notes.. creamy caramel joined the chocolate across the middle (which was nice).. very warm on the finish with an odd herbal bitterness. Medium-bodied with decent balance at best.. bit sticky on the finish.

dark pour small tan head no real lace. Small roast aroma odd cereal & wierd almost stale vomit piece within the aroma. Palate is well coated but thin. Well roasted flavor touches of lactose, milk chocolate.. very very sweet. Crapy nose w/ a nice taste.

Bottle sampled on 6/30/07: Pours a mostly opaque with dark mahogany edges and a thin wispy-lacing light tan head. Has a big, sweet dark caramel and roasted malty nose with some dark chocolate. Body starts fairly full and earthy caramely sweet with good plum complexity and some bittersweet dark chocolate toward a smooth, balanced mildly warming finish. A nice imperial stout.

nice black body with a small brown head.the aroma is simply amazing.chocolate, coffee, brown sugar, molasses, and a hint of roasted malt.and now for the flavor....wow,its much of the same.although i grab a bit of lactose, smoke, and citrus hops.this is really solid and a bit under rated in my opinion.
