29th May 2008. Suspect this was too green but nontheless pleasant and strong fresh apples with a little dryness in the finish. Very appley!

(RBESG 2007, Glasgow. Bottle) Red/brown color, ok head. Fruity aroma, a bit on the sweet side with some nuts. Nice mix of hops and malt in flavor, quite a decent beer.

Bottle, RBESG 07. Rather sweet, fruity, but not very interesting. As dull as its Irish counterparts.

A Mes rate: Cask at Chelmsford Beer Festival. Murky brown colour. Very nutty, slight malt and a lick of alcohol and spice. Nothing amazing.

Cask handpull at Wenlock. Very deep chestnut, thin off white head. Hey, it’s a really tasty red/amber ale in an American styley, but without the overly hoppiness. Great dry malt, full, deep. Alcohol isn’t showy. Dry malt and nutmeg aroma. Malt in mouth is deep and rounded. Warming alcohol. Bit more spice/nutmeg on finish.
