beastiefan2k (1101), Lawrence (formely NYC), Kansas, USA May 4, 2008 Growler brought to me by a friend. Pours a very dirty, dark, copper color with barely any head. Aroma is a medium strong lightly sweet smokiness. Taste is less on the smoke and has a fruity lagering to it, which is not so good or interesting. It was not so interesting as I first tasted this but the whole damn growler has grown on me and the smoke is just enough for me to keep enjoying it. Its a very light easy drinking beer, I have never finished a growler between two people before this beer. Growler, shaker glass. (Rating #1194) hophead75 (1661), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Aug 11, 2007 Pint at the brewpub. Lightly hazy amber in color with a medium off white head. Aroma is light to moderately smoky, with campfire and smoked ribs. Taste was a good deal of smoke along with caramel, and some vienna type malts. Light to moderate in body, finishes smoky and lightly bitter. This was one of my favorite offerings from this brewpub, along with the IPA. Not exceptional, but nice enough.
