Commercial Description: A festive combination of holiday spices. Ginger, clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg add zest to the sweet maltiness of this winter time ale. German and English malts; Saaz and Hersbrucker hops.
Pour dark brown to near black with a tan head. Smells spicy with some chocolate and perfumy hops underneath. Tastes spicey but not sickeningly so as so many of these kinds of beers can be with elements of chocolate, earthy hops, pepper, and gingerbread. Some cloves pop in as the beer warms.
