ogglethorp (801), Ohio, USA May 21, 2008 Bottle via trade with Dunk, huge thanks!
Pours cloudy golden color, basically void of any head. Aroma is sweet citrus, floral hops, light caramel malt. Flavor is pine, citrus, orange, light caramel notes. Palate is medium bodied, medium to mild carbonation, finished very bitter. Another great hop bomb!
danielcurtis81 (144), San Diego, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 Getting notebook online. Bottle. Fabulous DIPA. Great hop flavors that are very well balanced!! I don enjoy living in California! rkuhnel (1148), Eureka, California, USA Oct 15, 2008 From a 22 oz bottle this poured a dark orange with a nice tan head and great lacing. Nose is very powerful and of pine hops. Rich and chewy mouthfeel. Flavor is bitter with some fruit and flowers, and the finish is long and bitter. Great stuff. jhumphries69 (537), Tyrone, Georgia, USA Oct 13, 2008 22oz bomber. Pours a very cloudy tan/orange with an off-white head. The beer has a chewy malt and yeast nose (aroma reminds me of De Dolle yeast character) with an excellent citrus green-hop aroma. The flavor starts sweet with caramel toffee and good evergreen and spice hop flavor. The finish has a firm evergreen bitterness with tropical fruit flavors. The mouthfeel is full-bodied and creamy with tingling crisp carbonation. Overall, a very nice double IPA. puzzl (1823), New York, New York, USA Oct 12, 2008 Bottled. Slick, oily hop aroma, some sausage. Pours with no head. Flavor finishes with some hop bitterness but mostly mild in terms of hops through. Some caramel and malts in the early flavor. Thick body. Kind of dull. Probably should have had the younger, but this was the first time I’d seen it available. Ah well. GMCC2181 (434), Bear, Delaware, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle from stfun. thanks josh. Light orange in color, decent one finger head. Aroma of piney hops. This for sure is a hop bomb... Lots of hops but still good. Texture is thick for a DIPA. Taste is all piney hops. Low carbonation...and lots of funky sediment in the bottom of the bottle. Solid DIPA, thanks josh.
