| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 13, 2007 On tap at the Carlsbad location. Pours a mostly transparent, rusty amber color with a thick layer of tight bubbled off-white head. Aromas of caramel raspberry malt with a hefty squeeze of ruby red grapefruit hops. A touch of soft alcohols in the nose as well. Medium-full bodied, creamy carbonated mouthfeel. A sweet, chewy, juicy malt presence hops out on the tongue with some tangy caramels and sticky raisins. Loads of citrusy, high alpha hops pile on the backend, creating a juicy, satisfyingly dry grapefruit finish. A soft breath of warming alcohols are left warming the senses pleasantly. luckygirl (1221), Boulder, Colorado, USA
