Oakes (6787), Miami Beach, Florida, USA May 11, 2008 Draught, Lost Abbey Just for shits and giggles I checked out the Amigo. Golden colour, with slight amber. Decent bubbly head. Unionmade aroma simply reeks of corn. Quick and bland. Decently made but boring, and even a small glass is a bit painful.
doubleo (668), San Diego, California, USA Jun 19, 2008 On-tap at PPSC. Pours light yellow with a moderate white head, specks of lace. Smells crisp and malty, slightly sweet. Tastes crisp and clean malty with a bit of hay and some earthy hops. Thin, semi-dry body, vibrant carbonation. Saarlander (1441), The Saarland, Germany May 6, 2008 on tap at Solana Beach, not bad at all, it for sure isn’t on par with alot of their brews, but I think its great this style is brewed by a great brewer, its very drinkable, low alc.% and nice on a hot day, with a nice pizza! malty brew, some grain flavors, slightly fruity, nice drinking beer! JorisPPattyn (4246), Antwerpen, Belgium Apr 21, 2008 Draught Small white rim over pale copper-metallic coloured beer. Almonds, pale and lightly coloured malts. Sweet malts, again this almondy flavour. Ends a bit empty, slightly bitterish. MF is NOT empty, even quite some grist slickness. Very special lager - not a Pilsener. Snojerk321 (883), San Diego, California, USA Mar 29, 2008 Tap @ the brewery. If I ever need to get a keg to "please the masses".....this will be the one. A clear golden yellow pour, medium sized head. Nose of light hops, grain and some yeast. The best pale lager I’ve had to date!.
