Nov 26, 2007 On tap at PP Carlsbad on 11/9/07: Clear deep golden color pour has a dense, small-bubbled frothy white head with nice lacing. Aroma of sweet bready biscuity Belgian malt with a touch of caramel candy sugar and some light fruity esters. Body starts rich and pale malty sweet with some stickiness and complex Belgian yeasty balance toward a slightly bitter, doughy finish. A nicely done strong Belgian golden.

Jan 4, 2008 Tap @ Carlsbad. Poured a mostly clear gold color with a large white head. Belgian yeast aroma. Malty base. The flavor was of light malt but sweet. Yeasty and spicy finish.

Sep 11, 2007 Updated: Sep 12, 20073rd sample Stone Anniversary Fest XI. I’ve been excited to try this and glad I did. Pours cloudy gold with a bright white ring. The nose is sweet yeasty and tasty. Taste was big and bold with a strong kick. Very nice beer, very nice indeed.

Sep 17, 2007 Pours a hazy yellow with bright white head. Wow, big aroma with sugar sweetness, ripe banana, bubblegum and light spices. The taste is much like the aroma with sweetness, a mild tartness that’s sort of lemony like, ripe banana and bubblegum. Toward the finish yeast notes surface along with mild spiciness. Yummy refreshing brew.

Oct 1, 2007 Draft @ Pizza Port - Carlsbad. Pours a cloudy, yellowish-white color; off-white head with patchy lacing. Generous amounts of cloves and bananas and doughiness in the aroma. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: creamy bananas and doughy malts upfront; nice levels of carbonation, keeping the palate awake; very mild spicing with a solid chewy fruitiness throughout. A tasty, sessionable belgian strong, almost like an imperialized witbier. Medium, belgian sugar and banana finish; hint of cloves. My wife absolutely loved this.
