Amber coloured beer with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon and grapefruit hops along with a lean pale malt and a bit of bready character as well. British types of malts and a light earthy character. A touch of citrus and spice in the hop flavour. Moderate bitterness. A fairly tasty pint.

tap at Solona - This beer has a good, mild hop aroma with a little malt. It’s lightly carbonated and has a slightly too thin body. The easy going hops comes through nicely in the flavor with a lingering, dry finish. Did I drink the same beer as other reviewers? They said it was the Baja. I thought it tasted kind of like an ESB and was actually pretty good. And I’ve never rated a pale lager this high...

On tap@Solana (old notes): Extra pale yellow color with a small white head. Faint sweet grain aroma. Flavor is lightly sweet and pils like with a light spicy bitterness in the finish. Light bodied with moderate carbonation.

On draft at Solana Beach Pizza Port. light/medium gold color. good lace with a head that lingers. floral nose. yummy up-front hops, with a good sound finish. not nearly as bland as the description promised. drink this beer before you venture into more-hopped waters.

Solana Beach. Little to no aroma - maybe the slightest bit of malt or grain, but nothing really. Appears a light copper color, with no effervescence, and with a small head that dissipates quickly. Flavor is very grainy, stale, and bitter in a skunky way. Palate is medium-light. Overall, a very bad brew. Perhaps I got a bad draft.
