Amber coloured beer with a thin white head. Aroma of lemon and grapefruit hops along with a lean pale malt and a bit of bready character as well. British types of malts and a light earthy character. A touch of citrus and spice in the hop flavour. Moderate bitterness. A fairly tasty pint.

On draft at Solana Beach Pizza Port. light/medium gold color. good lace with a head that lingers. floral nose. yummy up-front hops, with a good sound finish. not nearly as bland as the description promised. drink this beer before you venture into more-hopped waters.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear light orange color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that burns away rather quickly. Spotty rings of lace. Aroma of grainy malt and corn along with a bit of hops. Light body with flavors of mild hops, malt and a bit of fruit. The finish is subdued hops with a short earthy malt aftertaste. Just average overall.

This is a pale lager? Whatever. Light amber in color. Medium sweet caramel malt with a crisp citrus finish. Very light and sessionable. Must be the reason for the name...

ON tap at the Solana Beach location. Ordered by the original scotty 2 hotty to celebrate his roots. Beer itself was pretty bland and unoffensive, which sometimes is a good thing for the style. Some corn and strange fruit presence. Minimal bitterness.

tap at Solona - This beer has a good, mild hop aroma with a little malt. It’s lightly carbonated and has a slightly too thin body. The easy going hops comes through nicely in the flavor with a lingering, dry finish. Did I drink the same beer as other reviewers? They said it was the Baja. I thought it tasted kind of like an ESB and was actually pretty good. And I’ve never rated a pale lager this high...
