I was blown away. It is such a clever beer, one which I’ve wondered if it would work, and am pleased to find out that it does. IEBAILI (123), San Diego, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 7, 2008 Hazy golden. Aroma of yeasty spice and west coast IPA. Citrus, floral, and pine hops. Flavor is clove, fruity, yeast with a nice herbal bitterness in the finish. As it warms the yeast and spice take over the hops and a nice balance is created. My favorite of the night. Light on the palate with nice bitterness and a slight touch of alcohol. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA

It is almost buttery and creamy for a belgian, but the profile of flavour and aroma is accentuated by a delightful hopping. I wish they would make bottles of this. libbyweber9 (1), San Diego, California, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2008 Tap@ Port Solana Beach: Pours bright and clear with appropriate effervescence. Too cold to get much Belgian character at first, but after 10-15 minutes, a beautiful flowery yeast nose emerges. Hops on the grassy side dominate the body, well-balanced esters on the finish. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA

Taste is strangely great. Dominant yeast esters, bubblegum, and lemons; almost like a trippel or a German hefe. Teh hops kick in later in the glass as it warms. Apricot, grapefruit, and tangerine, but no real pine that I could taste. Smooth, velvety mouthfell. Nice.
