Commercial Description:
Light in color and body, this beer is brewed at both Pizza Port locations. A little heavier in alcohol than the Carlsbad Cream Ale, we use only the best California Honey to produce a subtle aroma and flavor in the finished product.

From tap at Carlsbad. Pours clear and golden yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet and of light honey. Light herbal honey touch in the flavour to a nice sweet malty base flavour. Light spiced hoppy too. Lingering sweet honey finish with a light hops bitterness.

Poured light, bright, kinda pissy yellow with a short, sticky cap of white head. The aroma picked up honey upfront with pale malts and floral notes not far behind.. quite sweet. The flavor was sweet overall with pale malts and honey again.. dry grassy bitterness.. finished with unpleasant artificially-sweet honey. Light-bodied and dry (but still too sweet and artificial).. not much carbonation.. didn’t care much for this.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer is a clear golden color with a thin white head that burns away quickly. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Light honey, hops and bready malt in the nose. Light-bodied and mildly hoppy with a sweet malt and honey undertone. The finish is sweet with a hint of hops in the aftertaste. Pretty average overall.

On tap at Taproom in Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA--Golden yellow body with no head. Biscuit nose with sweet creamy English notes. Biting, crisp, and robust mouthfeel. Well carbonated but not very momentous. Nice grainy finish that made this worth checking out and highly sessionable.

On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours a slightly hazy yellow color with a crisp, dense white head, sheet lace. Smells faintly malty, dish towel and sweet. Tastes of honey and malts, a little nutty as well. The most honey I’ve ever tasted in a beer. Medium body, which was nice for such a light ale. Moderate carbonation.
