Tap from Carlsbad location. Very good beer. There is a definite caramel aroma and flavor along with some fig and sweetness. Very tasty and I’m surprised this is listed as a 6.6 abv beer, I would have guessed more like 8.

On tap at PP Carlsbad. reddish brown pour. Sweet caramel, biscuits, plums, dark fruit, banana, and spice. Pretty nice and enjoyable.

On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours cloudy, red/brown with a thin off-white head, good lace. Smells sweet, caramelly malty, slightly dark fruity and light yeasty. Tastes sweet and malty yeasty, slightly spicy, slightly dark fruity. Medium body, good carbonation.

I asked the bartender about this. She said it’s a new beer and that it has no name (i.e., it’s simply, "Belgian Style Abbey..."). I had a sample and liked it so I refilled my growler then poured it at home into my Duvel glass: sweet notes of biscuits and banana in the aroma; cloudy brown body with minimal tan head and minimal lacing; nice flavor--sweet and fruity; smooth, good and light carbonation, and slightly creamy; great brew.

OK. I didn’t see this in the database. It’s been on tap for a little while, and no one seems to want to enter and rate it. I don’t see anything similar in description. There was no brand name (like surfboard dubbel or something like that). Cloudy amber color. Lots of banana in the aroma. Sweetish. Very easy to drink. Mellow and delicious. No head (taster size). Mellow tap carbonation. Very very good.
