Draft @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a sweetish malty spicy and slightly yeasty aroma. Sweetish malty spicy flavor with some yeasty hints and hints of caramel and dark fruit. Has a sweetish malty spicy finish with a long warming aftertaste.

Courtesy of markwise. Pours clear deep amber with off white head. The aroma is cherry and plum candy with a thin layer of yeasty spice and Belgian candi sugar. The taste starts with a full pulse of sweet candi sugar, prunes, cherries and some molasses. It ends with an increasing amount of black peppery-ness then becoming more and more like prunes and ripe cherries to go along with a bit of dryiness.

Very grateful to MrHanky for sending me a growler of this enjoyable beer. Pours amber-brown with a small off-white head. Nose is cola, malt, cherry, candy sugar, yeast, and boozy dark fruit. Flavor is candy sugar, cherry, malt, yeast, some raisin, some nuttiness, and a good degree of quad flavor. Medium-bodied and enjoyable quad.

On tap@Port Carlsbad: Rootbeer color with just a small tan halo of foam. Aroma of raison, prune, light bubblegum and port. Flavor starts rich sweet raison and prune with a light bite on the tongue. Sweet finish with a hint of banana in the aftertaste. Medium-full body is creamy with moderate carbonation. It has some alcohol warming.

on tap at papago... barely hazy mahogany brown with a minimal light tan head. the nose is quite fruity and floral with notes of piloncilla sugar, banana starch yeasty richness, wood and... a defined brett character. yep... cement and that cinnamon-y stink that it throws off. i’m not sure if it was used intentionally but it is there (confirmed by two other nerds at the bar!). i am shocked at how dry this is !... there are signs of cherry-like fruit, raisins and maple syrup yet it remains dry on the finish. other notes of wood, spiciness and yeasty earthiness before the brett becomes noticeable on the tongue as well. again, it seems odd but it works with the alcohol to really dry this thing out and keep the mouth feel from getting too rich. medium bodied with a starchiness in the texture... wow, 11% huh? 8/3/8/4/15/3.8
