| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Draught at Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours clear tawny with a small, fizzy, light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (caramel, toffee, bread), light hops (grass), heavy yeast (dough, earth) with notes of banana, dates, vanilla, and brown sugar. Full bodied, creamy texture, lively carbonation, and an astringent finish. Average duration, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness. Crosling (1856), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Draught, Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Cherrywood red color. Banana, dark red fruit, plum and dried cherry notes in the nose. Flavor has some depth and complexity to it, with hints of caramel, raisin and plum juice. Respectable, but basic example. My high score is because I find even average 11% quads very tasty. ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA
