Commercial Description:
Our customers can’t get enough of this amber ale that was orginally brewed with hemp seeds, but tastes just as good without them.

Enjoyed at the brewpub. Draft. Good copper color with decent looking carbonation and a touch of lace in the glass. The aroma was very small and actually a bit vegetal. Light grain only. The flavor was not that enjoyable for me either. Biscuit/breadish grain comes to mind with a touch of grass. Light spice and a bit of butterscotch. Not pleasing. Medium body. Slick mouth feel. Did not care for it.

A light and fruity sweet aroma. Pours amber. Flavor is sweet caramel malt. Body is light. One of their most sessionable ales.

From a growler filled at PP Carslbad. Shared with some friends. Pours copper with a 1 finger tan head. The nose is odd in a number of capacities. It doesn’t really smell like anything in particular. The taste is very lager like with not a lot of punch. This is pretty disappointing but it was worth a try.

Boring. Clear amber with no head. Buttery malt and grass. No real discernable flavor. Malt and some sort of plant that was neither hops nor hemp. Flat and watery.

Tap poured an amber color with off white head. Aroma was mostly caramel and roasted malts. Flavor was leaning to the malts, but had a good bitterness. I didn’t get any hints of hemp seed at all.

On tap at the S.C. location. Was about average for me. Color was amber; citrus hops and malt. Didn’t pick up much on the hemp flavor. More of a flavorful amber ale.

On tap at Carlsbad. Buttery, sweet salty popcorn. Wheaty. Something else there that I can’t quite pick out.

copper pour with moderate off white head. really nice balance of mild malts and citrus hops that created a more intense flavor than the ingredients on their own. good b/c ambers are usually uneventful in my opinion, i.e. not enough malt or not enough bitter.
