Pizza Port Carlsbad Cream Ale

On tap @ Carlsbad location: Highly carbonated both in appearance and throughout the entire drink. Small refined tiny carbonation bubbles seen rising constantly while the color is a golden yet clear liquid. Flavor was to bland for me and was sorry I had ordered this instead of something else.

On tap at Pizza Port. Pours a thin hay color with a whispy white head. Duffman is exactly right about the fruit cocktail comment. Although I didn’t appreciate the canned juice flavor and the blandess of the malt, myself. his would have been a dp if I wasn’t sitting at the bar.

On tap @ Pizza Port, Carlsbad. Clear pale straw, compact white head with decent retention and early lace. Low aroma of clean grains. Surprisingly fruit palate (fruit cocktail) with a crisp dry finish. A pleasant surprise!

I got a free pitcher of this at Pizza Port Carlsbad :) It is a clear golden color with white head. Mostly grainy malt, with some cream, honey, and grass notes. Extremely drinkable.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pours yellow with a white ring. Aroma of corn, cream and honey on the aroma. Taste is lactose, vanilla, diacetyl with a very sweet finish. Dry and fizzy mouthfeel.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pale yellow color. A hint of honey in the otherwise low aroma. Light sweetness. Small offwhite head. Decent alternative to water.

Tap @ Pizza Port, Carlsbad. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is caramel cream with slight grain and wheat notes thrown in. Taste is roughly the same - tasted much more like cream soda than a beer. Smooth, drinkable, but not their best offering, not by a long shot.

Draft at Pizza Port Carlsbad; nose with only a light caramel note; gold with a small white head; flavor is weak graininess, a little pepperiness, and a very weak hop bitterness; not my favorite Pizza Port beer.
