Malty honey bread taste with a crisp toasty finish. Certainly a better than average beer. toncatcher (228), Santee - SAN DIEGO, California, USA

Very average, only good thing was you could drink this all day, don’t know wht you would want to. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 1, 2007 I was very disappointed with this beer, it had absolutely no distinctions from any other beer.. i am not really a fan of dry, hop finishing beers, so it wasn’t really my type. Nothing made this one stand out for me. brianjames1 (322), Northridge, California, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Apr 12, 2007 Updated: Apr 16, 2007On tap at Port Carlsbad. Another not required component of a big lineup of 39 taps, though not needed, it’s a beer for those with a palate. Moderate lace, and as expected a well-retained head. Not too creamy, since cream ales have nothing to do with "creaminess", and a lovely engaging, yet light mouthfeel. Quite different than the amigo lager, with more pale malt and lightly citric hops, as opposed to more traditional lager/european hops. Softer yeast presence with just a hint of fruitiness, as opposed to a lager yeast. Really nicely attenuated, very flavorful and lacking of any flaws. Sammy (4003), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Feb 11, 2007 On tap at Port Carlsblad. Another required component of a big lineup of 39 taps, though not needed, it’s a transition beer. Bit of lace, expected a good head but not so. Not too creamy although mouthfeel was fine, and in fact was not too different than their Mexican lager.
