Tap. Deep hazy amber beer with a thin white head. Aroma is quite soft and fresh. Sweet bready malts and a soft light toastiness behind a soft fruitiness. A bit of caramel and a faint citrusy/piny bitterness. Pretty chewy and sweet with a soft maltiness but nice fresh hoppy flavour. Very fruity/grapefruity with a light pineapple flavour as it starts to warm up. Nice balance of hops and soft fruity maltiness. It’s pretty solid.

Tasted at the 2008 Bistro Wet Hop Festival 10/4/2008. This IPA pours a dark orange gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is floral and grapefruity. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. The hops are floral and slightly grapefruity. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

On tap @ Falling Rock poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting creamy ivory head. Aromas of carmel, pine, earthiness and orange. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, grassiness, orange, pine, light grapefruit and light earthiness with a smooth dry lingering bitter finish.

Draft. Rich amber beer with an off-white head. Light piney/grapefruit aroma. Caramel, spice flavor with pine/grapefruit. Not enough bitterness. Medium bodied. caramel, earth, spice and pine/grapefruit lingers.

On tap at Toronado San Diego. Pours with an amber body topped by a thin to medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet bitter and hoppy with a nice pine note, a touch of malt and a very slight mustiness. Meidum bodied, dry and slightly tingly from the carbonation.

Dark orange with a fizzy off white head. Aroma and taste of hops, hops, and more hops. Lots of hop resin, grapefruit, and a big pine presence with reasonably balanced sweetness and bitterness.

On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Amber in color; fairly dark with an off white head. Flavor was of orange/citrus with some toffee and floral components. Flavor was really good and well balanced. Toffee backbone with juicy citrus, flowers and orange. The floral component was one of the best I have had. Not overly pronounced, just an extra subtle goodness. Top notch for the style.
