Jul 7, 2009 Draft in Carlsbad. A brown beer with a red shine. The aroma has notes of soy sauce and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of soy sauce, and caramel as well as light notes of roasted malt, leading to a soy sauce finish combined with a light note of roasted malt, reminds me of an ice cream topping.

Jul 23, 2009 From tap at the Carlsbad brewpub. Pours dark brown and black with a small, tan and lasting creamy head. Hard roasted malty aroma. Flavour too is hardroasted, light coffeeish and vague dark chocolate flavoured too. Lasting roasted and dark malty flavoured into the far finish.

Apr 25, 2009 1st rating of this brew, shared with dalekliz at Toronado SD tonight, my night of celbration. Poured black with a tan head nitro looking, as it was nitro even though liz didn’t think so. Sweet nose sweet malt ball taste, pretty damn tasty porter. Super Smooth.

Apr 26, 2009 On nitro at O’brien’s. Pours with a dark brown, thick, creamy, tan head with lots of lacing left on the glass. It’s sweet and malty with a nice roastiness, notes of coffee and cream. Medium to full bodied and smooth with some dryness.

Jul 17, 2009 Updated: Jul 22, 2009Served nitro with no warning and we got a pitcher of it. Fuck that. Pours a nitro black with big nitro head. Semi-roasty nose with chocolate and yesterdays cold coffee. Nitro watery flat mouthfeel. Creamy chocolate milk flavors, that’s all I can taste now that my head is full of nitrogen. Gets lower scores for appearance and palate because you fucks put nitrogen in my beer without my consent.

Sep 2, 2009 On tap at PP carlsbad. Description: "6% english style porter with coffee and chocolate notes". Thick creamy awesome nitro head. Black brown color. Low to no roastiness. Leans dry. Easy to drink. Low in flavor, but still surprizingly good.
