Draft @ Pizza Port - Carlsbad, labeled as "Reed’s Wee Heavy." Pours a dark, clear reddish-brown color; light-tan head with solid fine-bubbled lacing. Good amounts of red fruits, dried dark fruits, and brown sugar; dense, reserved sweetness. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy, dense dried dark fruits, brown sugar, and caramel upfront; reasonably reserved sweetness; decent, slightly warming scotch ale with a solid core. Lengthy finish: dried fruit, brown sugar, and chewy dark malts; reasonably sweet.

On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours brown with burgundy highlights , thin offwhite head, specks of lace. Smells caramelly sweet and dark red fruity with some hops and some alcohol. Tastes malty and dark fruity sweet, raisins, with some warming alcohol. Dishwater through the middle with a nice malty sweet finish and some slight hop spice. Medium body, vibrant carbonation.
