arrogantb (694), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 1, 2009 I had this on tap at the Stone Bistro and had never heard of it so why wouldn’t I? hazy dark gold color, smells spicy and Belgian (Surprise!). The taste was kinda spicy, pepper, fruity, delicious. Drinkability was really good and I finished my tulip glass no problemo. I was a little disappointed that the only IPA’s on Stone’s menu were Ruination and 11th (Where the fuck was Pliny?) but this was a nice beer.

Aroma is sweet with yeast and spice. Flavor starts fruity with some flowery grassiness and a light dry bitterness in the finish. Medium body is tangy with lively carbonation.Got to meet Gina. padrefan98 (787), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA May 20, 2009 On tap at San Diego Brewing Company. Some clove in the flavor, also some bread dough yeast. Not bad but I desired more flavor. tokyogoat (505), San Diego, California, USA May 7, 2009 Pour had a small white head with a straw yellow body.
Smells were of very light yeast and floral notes.
Taste was great, this is a very mild Belgian Pale. Which is exactly what I wanted. Body was very light, but was able to hold up against clam pizza.
Taste follows the smell, very yeasty with bright floral notes. very good, not a traditional belgian, but a very tasty southern california take on one. wetherel (1565), Encinitas, California, USA Mar 13, 2009 On tap at PP Carlsbad. Yellow color. Creamy white head. Yeast aroma. Low hop aroma and bitterness. A bit of biscuity aroma. Light and easy to drink. Hint of banana in the aroma, but not as strong as a Belgian yeast. Decent, but a little too wimpy and light for me. BelgianBeerGal (1273), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Feb 17, 2009 Draught at Toronado. Not sure about the tartness from the description I picked up more hoppiness in the finish than your typical Belgian. Other than that, true to form and easy drinking. Solid but nothing spectacular. alexanderj (2204), Chino Hills, California, USA Feb 3, 2009 On tap at PP Carlsbad. Poured a gold/yellow color with a white head. Aroma of wheat, must, banana, and earth. Flavor was drinkable and sessionable, albeit a bit simplistic. Pronounced dry finish. Didn’t pick up on any slight tartness. WeeHeavySD (2940), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Jan 31, 2009 Tap @ Blind Lady. Low Style and low overall WTF? This is nice. Pours golden with a bright white head. Nose is nice and light and yeasty. Taste is bright, light and slightly hoppy, I like this a lot.
