clear pale yellow, fine white head, drippy streaks of lace,
lightly sweet malt aroma with a woody character producing a nice tartness and a bit of cobwebs,
creamy body,
dry malt flavor, lots of wood character, light tartness blended with a musty earthyness, just a hint of sweetness comes from behind to add complexity and balance,
a very drinkable light Belgian golden with an intregueing funky edge,

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Draft at Pacific Beach Tap Room. Arrived a cloudy light golden with little to no head. Aroma of tart fruits and yeast, hints of spice. Flavor is also tart fruits, floral notes and more belgian yeastiness, lingering tart/bitter aftertaste. Light body and crispy carbonation. More like a summer cooler, than an autumn special. kmweaver (2501), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 1, 2007 Draft @ Stone Bistro. Pours a hazy, yellowish white color; very minimal off-white head. Relaxed bananas and cloves in the aroma; slightly watery. Medium mouthfeel: slightly overcarbonated and sharp on the tongue; bananas, citrus, and some mild spice coming through (clove, white pepper); somewhat uninspired and mild, but reasonable drinkable. Medium, banana and clove finish; slightly dry. mtoast (317), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Sep 18, 2007 On tap 9/17/07 at PP Carlsbad. Poured an opaque yellow with short lived white foam, very little lacing. Aroma is yeast yeast and just a little bit of sour maltiness, reminds me a lot of a botched homebrew. Very viscous mouthfeel, feels half finished, flavor again reminds me of homebrew, way too much yeastiness. Should have crashed cooled or lagered this for a few guys. Looks like it may be good, just way too green.
