I had this on tap at the Stone Bistro and had never heard of it so why wouldn’t I? hazy dark gold color, smells spicy and Belgian (Surprise!). The taste was kinda spicy, pepper, fruity, delicious. Drinkability was really good and I finished my tulip glass no problemo. I was a little disappointed that the only IPA’s on Stone’s menu were Ruination and 11th (Where the fuck was Pliny?) but this was a nice beer. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 10-04-2007 17:05:24

Tap @ Blind Lady. Low Style and low overall WTF? This is nice. Pours golden with a bright white head. Nose is nice and light and yeasty. Taste is bright, light and slightly hoppy, I like this a lot.

On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours a clearish pale yellow color with a crisp white head. Bits of lace, decent retention. Smells of light, crisp malts and bready yeasty. Taste is light and bready, belgiany, yeasty with a solid crisp malt background. Thin, light body, very crisp carbonation. Tasty but not overly tasty, very drinkable.

Pour had a small white head with a straw yellow body. Smells were of very light yeast and floral notes. Taste was great, this is a very mild Belgian Pale. Which is exactly what I wanted. Body was very light, but was able to hold up against clam pizza. Taste follows the smell, very yeasty with bright floral notes. very good, not a traditional belgian, but a very tasty southern california take on one.

Nice drinkable belgian ale. Golden, slightly hazy pour with white head. Biscuity malts, banana, earthy notes, and caramel. Also some lemon zest and funk. I enjoyed this.

On tap at Pizza Port. Light yellow with a fizzy white head. Malty aroma and a crisp citrus taste and a bready finish.

On tap@Port Carlsbad: Pakle golden color with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet with yeast and spice. Flavor starts fruity with some flowery grassiness and a light dry bitterness in the finish. Medium body is tangy with lively carbonation.Got to meet Gina.

clear pale yellow, fine white head, drippy streaks of lace, lightly sweet malt aroma with a woody character producing a nice tartness and a bit of cobwebs, creamy body, dry malt flavor, lots of wood character, light tartness blended with a musty earthyness, just a hint of sweetness comes from behind to add complexity and balance, a very drinkable light Belgian golden with an intregueing funky edge,
