On tap @ Pizza Port Carlsbad. Dubbelicious poured a deep translucent amber with a fine tan head. Nose of plums, raisins, caramel and Belgian chocolate. Didn’t quite as much raisin out of it as I thought I would. A great brew over all!

Double delicious. Had it on tap @ Solana Beach. For an abbey, this was super smooh. Reminded me of their Dubbel Date which I had last summer. I’d drink it again, that’s for sure. Not too heavy on the sweet notes. You can tell this is a Pizza Port beer by it’s fresh flavor.

Tap @ Carlsbad: Poured a clear mahogany color with an off-white head. the aroma was fruity with notes of the dark fruits. Somewhat sweet with a chocolate nose on the finish. The flavor had plums and mild raisins on the very end. medium bodied and a semi-dry finish. Some warmth. Very tasty stuff.

On tap at beachwood. Didn’t know it had raisins, but now it all makes sense. Great body and a very caramel quality to the taste and texture. Odd, but definitely delicious. First raisin beer I have actually enjoyed.

Tap, O’Briens. Pours a dark ruby color with no head at all. Strong sweet yeasty, bubblegum aroma. Yeasty flavor up front. Some bubblegum, banana, and some spice. Smooth drinker. I liked this one.

Tap at PP Carlsbas. Pours muddy brown with ruby highlights. No head on this one. Smell is dark fruit, raisins, yeast, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is raisin, banana, dark chocolate, yeast, plum and molasses. Light carbonation but plays well with the style. Good beer.

Dark reddish brown pour w/ a small well laced off white head. Smells of bubblegum candied sugars fresh bread dough some dark fruits. Palate coats well and has a nice carbonation. Flavor is sweet bannana bread & light raisons w/ some brown sugars. Good stuff.

Handbottle. Aroma is a strong glow of fruity poundcake, bourbon soaked apricots, rich estery lemons and light cloves. Nicely heavy on the phenols and seductive fruits. Pours beautifully a rich clear ruddied mahogany with orange fringes and a creamy foam head of aged ivory. Flavor carries a sweet bready yeast, again dripping with alcohol drenched fruits in dried and cake form. Abbey yeast character shines! Body is a touch thin and stays generally neutral, with touches of heavy pound cake and lightly drying Styrian. Nice drinkability it a dubble. Holding carbonation and nice head formation and retention. Has a nice twist of lemon peel in the backend, along with copious candied sugars. An expertly packaged handbottle. Thanks Andy!
