On-tap at PPSC. Pours dark chocolatey brown with a thin, crisp, off-white head. Smells sweet and roasty malty with a touch of chocolate. Tastes sweet and chocolatey, toasty and malty. Medium body at most, moderate carbonation.

On tap at PP San Clemente. They listed it as "Ernest’s Oatmeal Stout." Black, tan head, creamy mouthfeel, nice flavors of roastiness and dryness

Pizza port San Clemente. Pours dark with a dark tan head. Hints of coffee and caramel. Taste sweet with small bitterness. The palate was very thin, like water. Overall a good beer and I wasn’t disappointed.

On hand pump at Pizza Port San Clemente, 02/25/08. Cask conditioned and served at nearly room temp, this black pour had almost no head and no carbonation. Smells like black coffee. Tastes the same, but with subtle sour cherries and even more fleeting chocolate on finish. Didn’t notice the oat flavor. Nice, but not the home run I had been expecting.
