Clear gold, nice white head. Bitter grapefruit nose. Sweet caramel flavor with strong bitterness and a minerally taste like snow. Notes of grapefruit, pine.

Part of my 9 beer IIPA tasting. 55.5°. Hazy orange color. Orange blossom honey aroma. Some herbal, maybe citrus hops aroma. Nectarines? Hopy taste with some honeyish background. Hops are floral and perfumy. Nice mouthfeel. RERATE- I had one last night and I put all kinds of notes in, but the site messed up and lost them. This is very, very good. I remember getting a predomniate flavor of orage marmalade and a lesser one of grapefruit. Killer huge aroma and a creamy, full body.

Poured a darker, cloudy amber color with a smaller off white head. Aromas of pine, citrus, and grapefruit. Nice hoppy aroma. Tastes of oranges, malts, and sweet fruits. Nice balance (lightly sweet and bitter at the same time). Clean and dry finish. Alcohol well hidden. Another great West Coast IIPA. Big thanks to DarkElf for trading me this one.

Small, rocky, offwhite head. Excellent retention and lotsa stringy lace clinging to my glass. Clear copper colored brew. Fat, juicey, piney, citrusy nose, shoe polish? Med/full bodied, oily and resinous. Massive hop flavors, pine , melons, pleasently fruity, grapefruit, peachy. Malts are lightly sweet, toasty but surprisingly evident even though they are fairly hop blanketed. Bright hop hop flavors are juicy and very enjoyable! Dry finish, good bite! Thanks to the DarkElf for a shot at this hoppy critter! It did not disappoint!

Bottle, thanks to John. Citrus piney sweet sugary orange notes in the nose with a grassy pine twinkle. Moderately hazy orange/copper color with nice light tan/yellowish head that has formidable stamina. Starts citrusy with grapefruit tendencies and a weird mustiness attatched. Middle is tart and slightly astringent. Finishes with alcohol burn and more hoppy bitterness. This is a pleasant IIPA that is not over the top like many are. The weird mustiness takes away from this, though.

Dr. Bill tasting at 2005 Toronado Barleywine Fest. Head is initially large, frothy, off-white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (cookie), heavily hoppy (grapefruit, orange, apricot, resin), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is heavily sweet, moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Finish is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, heavily bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/creamy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Good for the style...ample malt to support the large hop character, big flavors but balanced, rich texture.

Heavy hop aroma of Pine and citrus with a malty addition. Flavor follows suit with a heavy pine and citrus bitterness and a nice maltiness to balance it out. Nice medium bodied mouthfeel. A Great Double IPA!

hazy orange colour, nice foamy head and a correct lacing, strong hoppy nose: apricot, flowers and cream, full-bodied, low carbonation, very strong bitterness, long bitter flowery finish - strong charatcer and a nice balance for this wonderful IPA - Thanks Per for this one and fiulijn for sharing it !
