| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 10, 2004 Oh... Peppermint, menthol, honey and pine/orange C-Hops in the nose. Opaque orange-tan with thin white head that diminishes to ring. Sweet, minty, malty flavour underlies assertive hop flavour. Aggressive bitterness detracts slightly from the flavour. Very strong carbonation but heavy syrup-like mouthfeel. Bottle enjoyed with Lubiere, MartinT, muzzlehatch and Rastacouere. Rastacouere (5563), Montréal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 7, 2004 12oz: Clear orange hue, not much head at all, just a white ring. Big orange aroma. Hops in there are extremely oily, resinous. Sweet C-hops galore provide piney, pineapple, and orange flavours. There’s a weird freezing iodine-like outline all the way that, mixed with the honeyish malt, provide perhaps a touch more astringency than I hoped for. Bitterness is aggressive, resinous. High carbonation surprisingly, yet the mouthfeel is rather oily. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 16, 2004 12 oz bottle-pours a nice orange hue with 1/2 inch white head. The aroma is pretty standard for a IIPA, but that is a good thing-citrus, sweet hops. flavors are a nice balance between citrus, pine and sweet malts. a very nice balance here. I liked how the flavors go from citrus up front to piney in the finish with the sweet malts right along side. The alcohol is nowhere in sight on this one. This is my 4th fav IIPA. Excellent! Thanks to Lord Gorlock for giving me 2 bottle of this back in late July. shadey (1501), Rochester, New York, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 14, 2004 Massive hop aroma. Small film of a head around the rim of the glass. Actually nicely balanced. I think this is the very first IIPA that I enjoyed. Very Drinkable. Special thanks to DarkElf for this beer. Hab40oz (242), Grants Pass, Oregon, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 12, 2004 smells so good, sweet hop aroma, much like Full Sail Hopocity. Damn! one of the best IPA’a I’ve ever had. So much variety. Starts with a sweet hop taste, then moves to a niced balance malt body and then finishes with a good bitterness
