| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2007 Sampled at Woodshop Tasting. Poured a hazy orange color with a decent off white head. Aroma was slightly old floral spicy, citrus and grapefruit hops along with a touch of caramel. The flavor was a tad old but still had a good amount of hops still left. A great treat to taste once again, but not the same as years ago. Thanks. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 8, 2007 Bottle. Thanks to jsquire for sharing. Very small off-white head that quickly dissipated with sparse lacing, murky, no visible carbonation, and a deep golden hue. Malty, caramel, hoppy and citrus nose and ditto for the flavor. Tingly and dry mouthfeel. Medium body. Not my favorite style, but I did enjoy this one. TURDFERGUSON (1606), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 1, 2007 Bottle from Glenn at the Beerinator gathering. What a surpirse, thanks Glenn! Nose is still hoppy-grassy, dank hops that I lost my nose in for several minutes. Sticky, mouthfeel with tasty hops and sweet malts that balance oh so well. This reminded me a lot of the Goose Island Double IPA I had a couple months back. This has held up very well. KAME (156), California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 17, 2006 Updated: Mar 22, 2007Bottled shared by LBHH Glenn, thanks. Wow, this is a good IPA. Aroma is quite floral and citrusy, but the flavor is much more complicated. Starts out as a sweet creamy grapefruit hopped IPA, but as the taste continues, the piney/grassy hops take over and finish out the ride into a long lasting bitterness. What an amazing brew, I really wish this was still available. dhlesq (233), Thousand Oaks, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 12, 2006 Bottled. Aroma of grapefruit, caramel, toffee. Appears a hazy yellow-orange color with a small creamy off-white head that mostly dissipates. Flavor is sweet malt and caramel up front with a huge grapefruit hop character in the middle, which slowly dissipates in the finish, long after the caramel has become a memore. Palate is medium-thick and somewhat chewy, with some effervescence, and with a clean finish. Overall, an excellent Double IPA, and one in which the flavor profile really delivers in a four-dimensional sort of way. I do believe my bottle may be somewhat aged, as I found much less hop aroma and much more caramel than others. moejuck (1172), Ohio, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 23, 2006 Thanks to Mr. Dick for this one! Always worried that such a highly rated beer will let me down, but this one came through in a big way. Incredible citrus hop aroma hits you as soon as you crack this one open. Cloudy orange color with a nice white head. The mouthfeel is thick and sticky. The flavors are a really great malt profile with tons of wonderful citrus hops. Really solid and great to drink. | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Jul 14, 2006 One of my favorite DIPAs. This DIPA exhibits a strong hoppy aroma and taste (both during consumption and afterwords.) Strong body from heavy malting (translating to alcohol content) helps balance this beer although its clearly a taste dominated by hops.
