Cloudy amber colour with a large dense off white head, Hoppy, fruity aroma with pine notes and a light malty sweetness. Flavor starts malty and sweet, then the hops kick inn with a solid bitterness and fruity and floral notes. Loong dry and bitter finish with pine notes. Thanx to sk8viking for sharing this great beer.

Wow! This is one fantastic IIPA. The aroma is filled with wonderful hops, mixes of floral, citrus, resiny. All in perfect balance. The taste...oh is right! It just feels like it’s full of rich sweet malts and has a wonderful blast of hop flavour that isn’t overly bitter and not bland and under done. It’s such a great melody of flavours in my mouth, well blended, great flavour. My only regret is that it’s not available locally.

Big bubbly cloudy double IPA, incredibel hop aroma and flavor, slight sweet from use of malts, although the body was perfect for such a big brew. Nice bitter crisp finish

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry -- courtesy of DarkElf. Pours a murky, bubbly, orange-yellow with a spare diminishing white head and some floaties of various sizes -- looks almost like grapefruit juice. Very nice, interesting aroma: it’s quite hoppy but also very sweet, like grapefruit and candy. Flavour’s even better. It’s similar to the aroma: citrus hops and a candy sweetness but the hops dominate more (which is to my preference) and there’s a nice big bitter finish -- very well balanced. Alcohol’s very well hidden. Has a good body and goes down pretty smooth. I must admit I was expecting better but it’s still damn fine IIPA.

oh. my. god. thank you mitch. Appearance is completely opaque amber with blonde accents and blonde head (1/4 inch creamy almost nitro like head), and very long lasting head as well. aroma is carmel malt, some pine, orange, corriander, wheat malt, grapefruit, and malt like you would put in milkshakes. some sweet light fruit hints of lemon, apple, green apple (to be specific), and spruce topped off with carmel malt. has some lemon zest and pear flavors. there is nothing abuot this that is boring. a new flavor with each sip, usually fruity, with extremely unbelievable wet west coast hops, that arent overpowering but enlightening. possibly needs a bit of age, but only a smidge. mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with light carbonation. The alcohol isnt present in the flavor, but it kind of smacks you in the face after half a bottle (and this is a 12 oz). amazing malt backbone. This and Yulesmith have been the only two IIPAs that seem to be able to amaze me.

Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy, his bottle via trade with DarkElf. Been looking forward to this for a long time. Poured very murky yellowy-orange, small bubbly head, plenty of hop sludge and chunksin the bottom. Aroma of grapefruit, citrus, tons of malt, hints of lactose - nice. Taste starts very sweet, candy and fruit, then waves of resiny hops come over the top - balanced mostly bitter finish, very grapefruit pithy. Decent body, mouthfeel lightly carbonated and acidic/astringent - long finish. Very nice - I’ve had better, and I suspect this one shines brighter on tap or when it’s fresher - very nice

Thanks and cheers to DarkElf! Great guy by the way. Pour was hazy golden with a smalis whiyte head. Nose was all grapefruit, man, sweet. This was a sticky hoppy tart and tangy brew. Good balance, and the mouth feel was like syrup.

On Tap @ PP Carlsbad: I’m going off memory, because it was about a year ago that I last had this beer. But, im here to tell you it was a wonderful beer, while it lasted. That’s about all I can say about it. Just a wonderful IIPA.
