12 oz bottle thanks to DarkElf! Poured a wonderful shade of orangish/amber with a tall, rocky off-white head. Powerful aroma of grapefruit, orange zest, sweet earth, caramel, and fresh pine needles. That nose was just brilliant... with air freshener-like power. Orange, grapefruit, and pine slide across the palate first, followed by some perfecly-balanced caramel malts. The Cascade hoppage fights its way back, and the brew escalates to a huge finish of citrus, Pinesol, alcohol, and dry bitterness. Long finish that I hope (and think that it possibly might) sticks around ’til Thursday. Brilliant!

Thanks to sick_boy282 for this little guy. Pours a hazy, dirty yellow/orange with virtually no head. Nose is all citrus and hops. Flavor - WOW! Initially grapefruit with bitterness creeping up the sides of the tongue. Mellows a bit as it breathes and warms, with some sweetness peeking through. Dry, bitter finish with a slight alcohol burn. Overall, the best of it’s style I’ve had to date!

12oz Bottle from DarkElf..HUGE Thanks! Upon first cap tilting aromas of grapefruit, citrus, outdoorsy, fresh, orange, hops pours out into my kitchen like an airfreshner! A light copper color with a lighter copper color head that is frothy, leaving thick lacing as it winds down to form an oblong island in the middle of my glass. Through the haze of the body, many bubbles can be seen racing to the top. Oh my, what a taste! Starts off thick and malty, slowly builds up momentum into some juicy hops and a nice wet feeling in the mouth. As it begins to leave, the dry, bitterness takes over. I cant stop drinking it.Another whiff brings some caramel to my nose as an alcohol warmth is building in my throat, my last sip was at least 15 seconds ago! Another sips leads the caramel scent onto my taste buds, followed by a slight yeasty chalk that is quick, but leaves behind some dry bitter notes and a little more alcohol warmth. amazing

Enormous thanks to herbjones for sending me this rare bottle of Frank!

Rating # 860
The body pours a majestic amber and the head is withdrawn and small, not a lot of carbonation. The bold aroma of caramel malts and a forthright alpha blast of citric and pine laden hops is unleashed on the senses. The flavor has great notes of caramelized grapefruit and lingering suggestions of brown sugar… rather fruity, plums a touch of pineapple, a hint of dates… divine! The palate is chewy and thick… the carbonation is low, but that is just right for my tastes! This is a Wonderful beer! I only wish I had regular access to such heavenly brew!

GABF 05. Pours a dull gold with a citrus and hops aroma. Flavor is nice sour lemon with hops. Coating palate. Lives up to the hype; I’d love more of this and other Pizza Port brews.

Thanks to Dark Elf for this one...Pours out a beautiful coudy golden orange color with a very nice thick foamy white head. The aroma is very inticing and is of floral and citrus hops. The taste is very well blanced with a nice grapefruit and floral hop flavor. There is a somewhat strong, very bitter taste to the finish, but it adds to the overall beer. Wonderful double IPA, wish I could get it where I was

GABF 2005. Very cloudy medium-yellow with a large, frothy white head. Excellent floral hop aroma, full of pine needles, orange blossum, sticky resin, and oak. Orange and peach flavors dominate, the bitterness is rather subdued - very soft and delicate, allowing some of the more fruity, sweet flavors to pop. Wonderful soft, almost buttery mouthfeel. One of the best I tried at the festival.

cloudy golden orangey color with a tall rocky white head. hoppy, sweet ruby grapefruit, and orange peel aroma. light pine too. strong sweet malty start, a little syrupy, then quick hoppy bitterness and resiny. orange rind at the back of the palate, finsish & aftertaste too. lacing and a nice mound of white head stayed all the way through, like a ice cream float. thanks DarkElf, mad trader!
