riversideAK (1570), Shoreline, Washington, USA Aug 27, 2007 Aroma of grapefruit hops. Pours orange red with a frothy head. Flavor is some sweet bready caramel malt with a nice hoppy finish. Fits the bill for an APA, but apparently with more alcohol. Barely noticable. Beer finishes very resiny and dry with a floral hoppy finish. Personally I feel that this is overrated though, as it is good, but really nothing special. trokini (846), San Diego, California, USA Aug 6, 2007 Tap at Carlsbad. A stronger APA, billed at 8%. Clear amber pour with a medium white head. Hoppy, soapy, resiny aroma. More of the same in the taste, but with more caramel malt and grapefruit hops. Sticky finish. Very nice. badlizard (1437), San Diego, California, USA Jul 30, 2007 On tap at Pizza Port. Clear orange amber with a creamy white head. Citrus, grapefruit, and pine aroma. Sticky palate. Good rich malty backbone with citrus, pine, and bready taste and a big bitter bite to the finish.
