May 6, 2008 On tap at Taproom in Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA--Poured a dark brown-chestnut0tinged body with a little sudsy whitish head. Big grainy, cereal and mild coffee nose. Sweet and reminiscent of Captain Crunch/Mr. T cereal/Sugar Smacks. bright, crisp mouthfeel. Bready, grainy, cereal. Pretty decent.

Mar 31, 2008 On-tap at PP C’Bad. Pours a medium brown colorwith a moderate off-white head, some lace. Smells of subdued toasty malts. Tastes malty, roasty and earthy hoppy, slight caramel flavors. Very complex flavors, a little ashy-ness in there as well much like Abyss. Medium body, dry, smooth carbonation.

Dec 25, 2007 On tap at PPC. Solid deep amber pour with no head or lace. No nose to speak of but no bad aromas. Maltiness with a slight hint of sulphur but nothing that really takes away more than a tad. Thin and foamy but again right on the edge of being better than it is. A decent drinker but not special for me.
