Nov 28, 2008 Tap at the Local. Deep dark brown beer. Aroma is lightly toasty with a soft lightly herbal/chocolate brown malt base. Herbal and toasty aroma with a nice soft hoppiness. Fairly drinkable, but as always, the brown ale just isn’t my thing.

Jan 4, 2007 Pours with a reddish-brown body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a slight roastiness, a little anise and a hint of hops. Medium to full bodied and tingly on the tongue.

May 6, 2008 On tap at Taproom in Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA--Poured a dark brown-chestnut0tinged body with a little sudsy whitish head. Big grainy, cereal and mild coffee nose. Sweet and reminiscent of Captain Crunch/Mr. T cereal/Sugar Smacks. bright, crisp mouthfeel. Bready, grainy, cereal. Pretty decent.
