A hop punch with wonderful hop balance! Spicy citrus flavors. Very thick mouthfeel. I need to try again so I can take better notes. kenster (4), , Arizona, USA does not count | 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Oct 24, 2008 Creamy white head. Big Hop flavors. Aromas of sweet pinneaple. Syrupy in the mouth. High alcohol content without a strong alcohol taste. Pours as a deep copper color. A must for Hop heads. This brew comes and goes throughout the year, so when you see it buy at least a bottle because you may not get a chance next week. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 22, 2008 Bottle. Pours very cloudy amber with a decent off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, mango and some sweet malt. Taste is grapefruit, pine and some sweet malt, but not much. This tastes of almost pure hops. Great bitterness that lingers on for a while. Big body, a little hot from the alcohol. Good stuff. I love SoCal IIPAs. thickfreakness (130), AUSTIN, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 21, 2008 Pours a hazy amber with a short lived head. Aroma is candied grapefruit, sweet pineapple and mango and some fresh green hops. Flavor is sweet candied hops, fading into pure grapefruit and pine juice. Almost syrupy body while still being nice and dry. Delicious stuff, much better than the last bottle I had. masonjer (563), Holt, Michigan, USA

Poured dark orange with a white head. Aroma was big and piney, citrus and grapefruit. Thick and juicy. Just a very solid IIPA. Big West coast blah blah blah. Nothing somebody else hasn’t said. If you see it, pick it up and drink it. nightrider (373), encinitas, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Sampled from the tap at Port Brewing a few Friday nights ago. Ryan informed us that he helped pick the local hops that went into this limited brew. Golden orange color with a good off white head. Sweetness of aromas with a thick earthy quality. Full bodied with the classic resiny quality with the hoppiness way up front. Probably outdoes the classic Hop 15 in my book. Very tasty for sure. Earlier Rating: 4/2/2007 Total Score: 4.4 A perfect 70 degree day in Carlsbad. We had just run the Carlsbad 5000 and where is the finish line but right smack in front of Pizza Port. Hop 15 on tap pours a cloudy golden orange color with just a slight head. The aromatic nose is wonderful hops and pine bitterness. On the palate it is smooth and silky. The flavor is citrus, hops, and malt all in perfect balance. The alcohol presence is nearly nonexistent. The beer and the day does not get much better. Thank you PP. Taste is sweet and hoppy and grassy, quite nice a big hop sandwhich. Would have prob been better to have this side by side with reg hop 15 but didn’t happen. Earlier Rating: 4/15/2007 Total Score: 4 Sampled at Lost Abbey. Really tasty double IPa with a balanced hoppy and matly flavor, lots of West Coast IPA feel as well. Great Double. movezig (137), Pensacola, Florida, USA
