Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

Thanks to kegbear for this one. Pour is a deep hazy holden with a creamy off white head. Aroma is up front hoppy with pine and caramel. Flavor is very bitter hops with strong caramel malt and sweetness. Very strong flavor overall masking the alcohol very well.

Murky copper with little head. Grapefruit, hops, pine sap, and citrus on the nose. Flavor is smooth with definite malt and sticky resinous qualities. Nice palate. Remarkable brew.

On tap for Pre-Stone brunch @ 10:00 AM. Great bright color and fruity aroma. A sweet, full bodied beer that got better as I drank it. Lots of flavor just bursting with eack swig. My type of beer,

Pours hazy peach with one finger head that leaves a nice thick lacing. Aroma is flowery, citrusy, sweet and resinous with every hop angle covered- from grapefruit to pine. Flavor is much more mild mannered than expected- very resinous with grassy, fruity, and flowery hop character. Sweet malt character provides excellent balance. Palate is sticky and smooth with a dry finish. One of my favorites of the style. October 28 re-rate.

A wonderful treat that helps celebrate the end of a work week. Caramel custard, piney and citrus hops. Possibly my favorite beer, trying this beer could change peoples entire perception on 100 IBU beers.
