| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Another over the top Imperial IPA that skirts the barleywine-sphere. Amber-orange with thick, foamy layer of head. Aroma is lovely and full of Cascades which translates to a blissful piny/citrusy Cascade flavor. Definitely a bottle to be shared, but this is outstanding. fiver29 (713), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 4.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Bottle from Sparky27. Pours a dark orange/amber color. I held this up to the light and it looked like syrup, or a liquid malt extract if you are a homebrewer. It had several pieces of hops evident in the brew. Smelled like I was about to walk into a pine tree and roll in it. Had a heavy mouthfeel and went down very smooth. Seemed a little bitter at the beginning. It got much better as I continued to drink it. Had wonderful flavors of hops with a nice malt base to back it up. I need more of this stuff!!! dkachur (2349), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 4, 2008 Bomber. Wantlist bonus from drewbeerme. Thanks! Wow... 15 hops!?!?! Pours a slightly murky brown with a medium sized white head. Aroma is very complex... I don’t really know how to describe it completely... just a really complex hop aroma. Citrusy, woody, fruity, floral. They’re all there. Taste is more of the same. It’s spicy and it burns. In a good way. Body is a little bit thin. Very well done! This drinks even easier than Hopslam. Quite dangerous. thomat (666), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 31, 2008 Amber with small white head. Sweet with fruity notes. Fruit, malt and bitter taste. Full body with a dry aftertaste. Naka (525), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 31, 2008 An orange golden color with a small fizzy white head. A very complex hop nose. It is pretty obvious that there are tons of different kinds of hops in there. A good balance of grapefruit and caramelly sweetness. A nice tea and hop flavor. The cascade especially come through well. Has a thick oily texture that leaves a nice bitterness on the tongue. santos999 (318), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Courtesy of Naka. Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Smells incredibly pissy, with strong grapefruit, piney, and rubbery notes. Straight hop bomb in the mouth with no balance, or sanity for that matter, to speak of. Painfully bitter throughout. Out of control, and pretty gross. Tastes like the wrong end of a horse. Boutip (2345), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 28, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Bchung52077: Poured an orangey color ale with a small foamy head with good retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of citrus and grapefruit notes with some very light caramel malt notes. Taste is also dominated by some grapefruit and citrus hops notes with some very light caramel malt and a dry bitter hoppy finish. Full body with some good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. While there is nothing wrong with this beer and it is very enjoyable I still could not understand why this is so highly rated as it seems to be lacking some floral notes which are (for me anyway) what makes this style interesting to begin with. sneagrams3 (1738), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 28, 2008 The Dan Journal #158. Tasted 3/4/08. 22oz bomber. Top pour. Clear and golden. Layer of white head. Citrus grassy petrol aromas. Grainy and bready. Big fresh bitter piney flavor. Big alcohol note. Totally bitter with a rolling hop palate. Rye bitterness. Citrus with a subtle sweet and tart flavor. Dry with a long finish. Lingering bitterness. Mild fruit notes. Fresh and really nice. Thanks Ric!
