Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

From a bottle at SB&WF. Hazy orange, medium off-white head. Fresh hop aroma with pine needles, apricots, and citrus. Medium bodied and smooth. Wonderful long bitter finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a tan, frothy head. Aroma of spice, raisins, hops, and pine. Body is full, with a fantastically smooth finish. No trace of alcohol, and some outrageous lacing. Outstanding IPA.

my second favourite imp ipa. Did head to head with df90 and ruination. This had the best nose (the citrusy hop sweetness) Great flavour profile. citrus, slightly spicey, and a smooth hoppiness with a nice finish (not overly dry)

Tap @ Publick House, Brookline, Mass. Pours golden-orange with a fluffy and lingering white head. Aroma is citrus hops with a little malt and caramel thrown in for good measure. Taste is malt and citrus with a hop bitterness so wonderfully typical of West Coast IPA’s. Mouthfeel is much more creamy than your average IPA, but I won’t complain about that.

Orange-golden color with a fluffy, persistent head. The smell is hoppy, caramel, taste is hoppy citrus flavors, good malts, creamy mouthfeel and a nicely bitter aftertaste. For 10% alcohol it is masterfully hidden. This is a great IPA and I really liked the brewery and staff when I visited. If you like IPA’s, hops, or just beers go get your hands on one of these somehow. Buttery qualities are the only detractors. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-03-2007 18:41:52

On tap at the Liberty. Pours a orange color with a nice white head to it. Smell is hoppy with a little bit of citrus. Extremly bitter bitter on first taste with a citrus pine finish. Not nearly as good Wipe Out

Source: Bomber from Hoppin’ Frog in Orange Appearance: Orange color, reminds me of a pumpkin. Aroma: Strong aroma. Couldn’t quite put a finger on what it reminded me of. Perhaps a few of my early homebrew IPAs. Not too bad. Flavor: Really, really bitter. Has sweet finish with lingering bitteress. Palate: Low carbonation, though this may have been the result of a low quality glass with lots of nucleation points for CO2. Overall: Not my favorite DIPA or PP offering.
