The aroma was juicy mid-fruit as apricot, with orange, a hint of pineapple, a little resin, and the lot sprinkled with sugar and some spice. The flavor was a strong, startling bitterness after being lulled by the juicy sweetness in the nose, warming alcohol, and balancing, appropriate malt. Very nicely done DIPA! nearbeer (1834), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 25, 2009 Bomber. Translucent orange-brown with a small creamy disc of foam that laces the glass all the way down. Great nose of flowery honey, grapefruit and resin mix. Flavor is similar with some nice earthy leaf, orange marmalade, mint and peppery oak notes mixed in. Just a tad too much alcohol for my tastes on the finish, but otherwise outstanding. Medium body is smooth and slightly watery so as to make this one dangerously chuggable. cstuartj (305), Washington, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 21, 2009 What a great IPA. Pours a very cloudy orange yellow. Small white head. Amazing critus nose. Strong pine and grapefruit with huge bitter clean finish. frylock (1023), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 20, 2009 Bomber from Bullfrog in Williamsport, PA: Golden brown beneath a white head. Citrus and pine filled aroma complimented by caramel malts and apricot notes. Big tounge-coating pine needle bitterness. Lightly toasty caramel malts are present, but take a far backseat to the grapefruit like hop flavors. A tiny bit of warmth in the dry finish, but the alcohol is otherwise well hidden. thirdeye11 (501), Texas, USA

Nose of mango, pine, pineapple, and grapefruit. Very fruity. Taste is very heavy on the hops, pineapple, and mango. Very good but the linger is almost too bitter. Utterly delicious overall. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2009 Tap at Uber! Nice copper/orange with a nice thin head sitting on top. Very aromatic citrus/pine hop aroma. Mainly has a pine aroma, but some citrus mixed in. Very aromatic hop aroma. Very strong hop flavor. Nice lingering bittering citrus/pine hops in the flavor. Again, this is mainly the pine hop. Nicely hopped beer. Slight alcohol flavor, but this doesn’t get in the way of the awesome hop flavor. Overall, a lovely hopped beer. deyholla (520), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2009 On tap at Hopleaf. Poured a golden amber with a white head. The head left nice thick lacing. Aroma was dominated by pine notes almost like you were in a pine forest. Flavor built in hop flavor throughout with both pine and citrus notes present. A nice sweet undertone was present as well.
