Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

Hazy dark orange decent beige head that fades soon. Aroma is bitter pine hops and molasses, smells aged and more like an American strong. Taste is bitter pine with alcohol and medium carbonation. Very bitter and barely enough malt is present to support it, also honey. Finishes with dry bitterness and alcohol through the nose.

The final bomber from Barrios’ Massechussetts trip. Pours a semi-hazy orange with fair ring of offwhite head. Citrusy hop profile, with lots of honey. And some alcohol spice in the flavor, but not in a burning sense. Nice, lingering resiny bitter finish. Good beer for sure, but i think this might be a touch overrated, or this bottle has a little age.

Pours a beige head with legs and an amber body with golden highlights. Smells of caramelized malts, floral and resin hops. Flavor is strong with caramelized malts and resin hops. Finish is floral hops and residual sweetness.

650 mL. Pours a hazy orange with a two-finger, eggshell, rocky head with great retention and leaves excellent lacing. Incredible aroma of carrot cake (YES!), gummi worms, clover honey, citric hops. Taste is spicy citrus and piney hops with nutty bitterness showing through. Creamy on the palate. Overall, this is just a very well executed but also very fresh DIPA. Awesome.

This bright orange beer poured with a decent beige head a a wonderful floral aroma. There is a flavorful caramel malt base that is hearty enough to compete with the intense hop bitterness. It all comes together very nicely to provide a delicious glass of beer with a spicy carbonated finish.

Pours a pleasing orange which I don’t often see-a nice change. Aroma is strongly hoppy, but there’s notes of citrus as well (some orange, which was a pleasant surprise). Flavor is very similar, really bringing out the hops in a flattering light. I think that this tastes pretty close to what you’d get if you made tea out of hops.

Bottle from evil stepdad.Hazy orange with a small white head. Mainly grape hops, maybe they are just overpowering alot of the more sublte notes but i didnt find it as complex as the name suggests. Great balanced flavor, clean and fresh palate with a very solid bitterness. Here the hops really shine!

Poured cloudy orange with lasting white head with a good lacing, nose full of grapefruit and citrusy hops. Thick on the palate and bursting with hops at the beginning, and finishing with a nice bitterness that could be a little more. Overall quality DIPA
