Pizza Port Hop 15

22 oz. Orange/golden pour, nearly non-existance white head. Very piney and citrus aromas. Taste was mostly citrus fruits followed by piney hops. Could be a little more full bodied and a little more carbonated. Finish again with the hops. Just a bit too much bittering for me. Still a good brew however.

Growler from the brewery. Not sure what to say other than if you like 2IPAs this beer is a must have. Beautiful golden orange with a thin white head. Tremendously hoppy and floral nose with traces of orange peel, tangerine, lemon and grapefruit. Flavor is actually somewhat spicy and moderately bitter. You can pull out hints of freshly cut grass, pine, lemon and grains of paradise. The bitterness is nicely balanced by a touch of malty sweetness. Body is sticky and resinous, but not overly heavy or syrupy. Mild carbonation shows off the hop flavors which are rich and noticeably throughout. Has a quick, dry, resiny like finish. Definitely among the elite 2IPAs available anywhere. Another winner from Tomme.

Bottle (Bomber). Tack till Alex för den här. Pours a hazy orange-amber color with a mediumsized white head, some lacing on the glass. Aroma is nice with pine needles, resin, grapefruit, citrus, grass, and some caramel/toffee coming through. Not superpowerful, but still very nice. Flavour is hoppy with typical pine needles, resin, grapefruit, ctirus and grass balanced by some malty caramel. Finishes with a long bitterness. Fullbodied, rather thick on the palate, with average carbonation, texture is a bit sticky but still nice. Overall a very drinkable beer and fun to try.

Bottle. Perhaps one of the better IIPAs I’ve enjoyed in some time. I expected this to lack much balance and be very hop forward, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a fair amount of caramel, grass, and toasty flavors. The finish, of course, is pure hops. It’s a solid take on the style, and one I would return to again.

Nice Hoppy nose but not over the top. Probably because their was virtually no head to lift it out of the glass. Alcohol hits you right away. Big bitter hop bomb. Heavy duty Pine with toasty coconut finish. I thought I would like this more being from Port. The sweetness if there is any is buried by copious amounts of big green hops. Definitely not balanced. If you want to be slapped in the face with hops this beer is for you. i understand what they were trying to accomplish with this beer. They said OK you want hops! We’ll give you hops! They did! By the time you get to the bottom of you glass nothing matters and your hooked.

Bomber. Pours dark orange with minimal head. Aroma is sweet malt & piney hops. Taste is sweet , alcohol, & a hop attack similar to the label on the bottle. A big beer.

Niiiiiice. Ridiculously hopped, balanced with a solid backbone of sweet maltiness. Lots of grass and pine hops. A classic California IPA.

(bottle at Summit Brewfest in Colorado Springs). Pours a clear, light amber color. Medium size off white head. Hoppy and bitter flavor. Avg duration. Astringent finish. Moderate carbonation.
