Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

An unclear amber beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops as well as notes of grass and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of grass and grapefruit, leading to a dry grassy and very bitter finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy orange. Powerful lychee like hop aroma. Loads of sweet malt with notes of toffee, clean mouthfeel. Even more hops, still ot’s not completely out of balanced. Extremely bitter, near inky finish. If you are looking for a ridicilously hoppy beer, this is a great choice.

From bottle, blind tasting at Papsoes - beer no 37. Pours hazy orange with a diminished white head. Aroma is sharp grapefruity and with a solid sweet maltbase. Flavour is heavy bitter with a lovely fruity hops and a liqourice sharpness cutting off the brew before the finish. Sharp bitter finish. Great.8-3-8-4-17=4.0

From tap at the brewery. Pours cloudy and golden orange with a lacing white head. Mild grapefruity and peachy aroma. Smoth and quite inviting. Dense hoppy flavour with a light fruity touch and a mild bitterness. Nicely balanced with a solid caramel malt presence and a light fruity lingering finish.8-4-8-4-16=4.0

Bottled (Thanks Stoutlover72!). Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is bready and grassy/flowery hops. Flavour is the same along with a balancing touch of fruityness. Also some slight yeastyness and alcohol can be cfound. Big grassy and alcoholic aftertaste.
