Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

Dark yellow colored with hazyness from yeast particles. Rich aroma with flowers and exotic fruits, bitter hops also here with mild alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is strongly hopped with dominating hops and flowers, aftertaste has maybe even too obvious alcohol. Well, expected more.

Bottled, from cracked kettle. Hazy orange brown color, short head, tiny particles. Aroma is very very fruity, grapefruit, pine, mango. Very bitter taste, almost astringent, hop juice, dry. Great aroma, extreme in taste. Great for a small glass, but a whole bottle for yourself is just killing.

Bottle, courtesy of Babblers @ZBF 2005. Bronze, good lasting white head and moderate condition. Intense peppery hop resin and gentle caramel in the nose, exploding mouthfull of hop resin and sweet malt but both in balance. Long long finish with oily resinous hop bitterness.

Light lasting cream head on dark amber. Moderate hop aroma. HUGE up front hop flavour. A hint of bubble gum. Delicious complex hop soup with a nice complementary malt sweetness.

botlte shared with faroeviking at ørsted, copenhagen. yespr and ungstrup gave me some of this few months ago also at ørsted, but that day i lost my notes. i remembered it being darn good, so i bought it as soon as i saw it in the fridge. cloudy orange, thick light orange head. piny and sweet hops, peach, dryness. very well composed hoppy aroma. hopy, dry, flowery, fruits in the flavor, malty sweetness, a hint of caramel, grapefruit, pine, ends dry and piny, accompanied with malty sweetness. a well balanced and hoppy thing. NICE.

An interesting malt and hop combination. This beer is thick and sweet malt, but on top of this base are a ton of hops. There is some pine and very light citrus, but mostly the bitter hops. A thick beer, especially for the style.

Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a clear amber colour with a low thick white foam. Huge hop aroma of lychee, pine-needles, grass and orange-peels with sweet undertones of nectarines and peaches. Full-bodied with a big bitter flavour orangey, piney and grassy hops with touches of resin and pepper. Long grapefruity finish with dryish and oily notes of lychee, pepper and orange-peels.
