Pours a cloudy amber color with a constellation of unidentified floating objects (UFO) and a thin white head. Nice aroma of resinous, piney and fruity hops. Very powerfull flavor of resinous, piney and fruity hops with toasted malt and a strong bitter finish. The body is light to medium with a liquorous texture and moderate carbonation. I like hops, but this is a tad too intense for my tastes. skortila (2905), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 1, 2008 Bottled. Aroma has a lot of hop-fruitiness (mango and grapefruit) and pine. Hazy, red-orange coloured with a short head. Taste is very bitter with an enormous astringent finish. It has pine, ripe mango and some grapefruit. A bit of a non-sense brew. Every 15 minutes a new hop added... go figure... Funny artwork. Just smell this beer, don’t drink. It’s over the hop-top. BMan1113VR (2884), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 29, 2008 Pours with a thick, off-white head covering a murky reddish-orange body. Lacing comes in sheets, and there is always a thing layer of foam left accross the top. The aroma fills the room as soon as it is poured. Lots of pine and grapefruit in the aroma as well as a nice caramel malt balance. Taste is some what strong of alcohol, but not unpleasently so, there is citrus hop bitterness as well as a bit of spiceyness towards the end with a touch of malty sweetness. Creamy mouthfeel with plenty of little bubbles. This is a great DIPA, but I think I actually liked there 2nd Anniversary IIPA more! Dogbrick (2863), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 16, 2008 Sample at Stone. Pours a clear deep amber color with a medium thin and somewhat fizzy white head that burns away steadily. Aroma of citrus and piney hops as well as touches of caramel and malt. Rich and flavorfully bitter with loads of hops and citrus offset by a good malty base. The finish is dry and hoppy with a lingering grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Maybe suffered for sampling after Stone’s Ruination but still a very good IIPA. Pinball (2862), Allerød, Denmark

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 11, 2008 Updated: Apr 18, 2008In short: An overly sweet sugary and alcoholised beer saved by a splendid hopping. Very good but could have been much more.
How: 22 oz bottle, thanks to my Secret Festivus.
The look: Cloudy orange body with a small off-white head
In long: Nose is very aromatic, as fruity (citrus, grapefruit, orange, etc.) as it is foresty. Taste is a bit of a let-down. As expected from a beer using 15 varieties of hops the hop profile is pretty complex. Much like the nose the hop profile covers all the fruity and foresty flavours you’ve ever encountered in american hops and then some. Malt profile however was not my thing. At 10+% and with a truckload of hops this beer needed a ton of round and rich caramelized malts. Instead I got treated with sugary crunchy honeyed maltiness. The alcohol had nowhere to hide and was very apparent. Too sweet and alcoholised I just couldn’t take big sips. This beer is too much for its own good. Part of it I really like and part of I didn’t care for. In a perfect world this beer would have had a richer maltiness ...and also in a perfect word George Bush Sr would have been infertile. beerinmarch (2800), Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2007 Pours golden, very clear, with a tall white head. Big floral nose, fruity citrus hops are alive and kicken. Bitterness scrapes the palate, hops dig in on the palate, providing long lasting flavor until you find the time to brush your teeth.
