Commercial Description:
First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the original Pizza Port location in Solana Beach, we searched high and low and combined 15 of our favorite hops which were added every 15 minutes to the boil. Somewhat darker than other Double IPA style beers, our beer oozes the hop goodness of pine needles, freshly squeezed citrus and ground spices which are only moderately tempered by a sweet malt finish. Thankfully, for all of us hopheads, we have decided to brew this beer more than once a year. Look for Hop 15 to make appearances from time to time when space permits us to brew this, one of our favorite ales.

#37 [Blind tasting @ Papsoe, Courtesy of Papsoe/ kmweaver] Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished. Fair lacework. Cloudy amber colour. Heavy grapefruit, pine, citrus. Perfume and soapy feel as well.. Light fruity / apricot notes. Medium to full bodied with a very dry texture and an average carbonation. Moderated to heavy bitter flavour with light sweet notes. Very dry and lingering bitter finish. 3 / 7 / 8 / 4 / 15 = 3.7

Bottle at "Wining & Dining Tasting" - Thanks to Sune. Cheese aroma & cheese taste - too much cheese, it ruins the beer for me. High hoppy, hop juice, grape, old sour cheese, sharp light unpleasantness. SORRY !!!

(Bottled, 0.66l) Hazy amber with a smallish, lasting head. Huge hop nose with exotic fruit, pine needles, and some alcohol warmth. Loads of hop bitterness and fruitiness also in the flavor, with a long, bitter, piney finish. Medium to full-bodied and slicky with low carbonation. A very nice Double IPA, but probably even better when fresh. 689926000150

Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white top. Huge hop aromas, pine, grapefruit, grass, light earth, citrus and a thin malt body. The alcohol is so well hidden in this vast array of hop characteristics, making it one incredible dipa. Awesome beer.

Poured a dark copper color with a bubbly white head. Strong pine cone and citrus hop aroma. Taste was bitter, citrus, grapefruit, and sharp pine, and resin. This was great, and I did keep filling my glass with this all night!

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are rich with both flowers, cascade hops and very well balanced with some caramel, sugar and citrus.

Courtesy of Footbalm. Dark copper color with no head. The aroma is something like an earthy orange; definite citrus, but some of that dusty hop as well. Strong hop flavor with a ton of caramel. A little orange near the end. Wicked good.
